What the contract is for
Most workshops don't want to manage a brake tester; they want it to work and to stay compliant. The new 12-month BM Brake Testers service contract from V-Tech puts the planned work on a schedule and gives you a single route for everything else, so the machine is looked after by people who know it. It is available on a quote-only basis.
Every brake tester needs a calibration contract; this one also includes 12 months' FREE warranty cover* and 20% off genuine BM parts for eligible applicants, subject to approval. *Terms and conditions apply.
What it brings together
- Scheduled servicing – visits planned in advance around your test diary. See servicing.
- Calibration – due dates tracked and visits booked, with certificates for your records. See calibration.
- Priority repairs – a faster priority option is available, depending on the customer's SLA.
- Genuine BM parts – whether parts are included depends on the type of contract you have with V-Tech.
- One point of contact – one team for servicing, calibration, repairs and parts.
What we won't claim
The contract runs for 12 months and is available on a quote-only basis. Contract terms are tailored to each customer, and the written quote sets out the visits and inclusions.
How to set one up
- Tell us about the machine. Serial number (starts SR0), site postcode, how busy the lane is and when it was last calibrated.
- Initial assessment. An initial inspection is sometimes required, depending on the age of the equipment.
- Written quote. You get a quote for your site setting out visits, inclusions and exclusions.
- Schedule. Once signed, we set up your servicing and calibration schedule and you have a direct route for repairs.
Several machines or sites
We support multi-branch and multi-site customers. Tell us the serial numbers and site postcodes when you enquire so we can discuss arrangements for your locations.
Bought your BM elsewhere?
Eligible models are BM 14200, 12200, 20200, 18200 and 11200. Age and model limits are subject to approval. Unmatched serial numbers are considered upon application, subject to approval. The offer is open to everyone who applies, subject to approval. Both offers apply when taking up a new service contract, by 30 November 2026, subject to approval.
Is it right for you?
A contract makes most sense if the lane earns its keep every day, if you'd rather not track calibration dates yourself, or if a breakdown would cost you bookings. If you test occasionally, booking servicing and calibration visit by visit may suit you better, and we're happy to do that too.
